Republicans waited until Friday night to release the text of their tax bill conference report in a clear attempt to hide it from the American people, who deeply dislike this bill.
Today, Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD), joined by Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Richard Neal (D-MA), Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Budget Committee Ranking Member John Yarmuth (D-KY), and 184 House Democrats sent a letter to Speaker Ryan making clear that his party is responsible for the deficits created by the Republican tax bill and any resulting cuts through statutory PAYGO.
Today is the last day of the open-enrollment period to sign up for health insurance coverage beginning in January 2018 through www.healthcare.gov.
I am disappointed that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chose to reverse the net neutrality rules set by the Obama Administration, which I believe is a costly mistake and unnecessary.

I think that would be very appropriate [to delay the vote on the tax bill].
I’m very pleased that my bipartisan Modernizing Government Technology Act, which will create a new model for rapidly upgrading our aging government technology systems, has been signed into law.
