With 146,000 new private sector jobs created in December, our economy continues to demonstrate its resilience.
This commission to suppress the vote should never have been created in the first place. It found no fraud because there had been no fraud, and it should not be revived by the Department of Homeland Security.
I join in thanking Rep. Bill Shuster for his service to the House of Representatives and to our country.  I’ve been honored to work alongside him and call him a friend these past seventeen years – as well as a Sigma Chi brother. 
Peaceful protest is one of the basic rights to which all people are entitled, and Iran’s theocratic regime must answer to the demands of those who seek greater freedom and opportunity.
Even after the Trump Administration sabotaged the open-enrollment process by cutting the sign-up window in half, shutting down the website on certain days, and refusing to publicize availability of plans, 8.8 million Americans still signed up for health care coverage through HealthCare.Gov for next year. 
The only person who has talked about shutting down the government in the last four months has been President Trump himself.
Hanukkah just came to a close, we are four days from Christmas, and we are nine days from the end of the year. And much of the work this Congress needs to do isn’t done. And so we find ourselves some 36 hours from shutting down our government.
As you know, 83% of the $1.5 trillion in deficits will be going to the top 1% in America and 17% to everybody else…
Clearly what we've seen, this is another kicking the can down the road.
Reports that Republicans are considering the use of “anomalies” in their continuing resolution as a backdoor to allow the Department of Defense to spend more, while other agencies are left at flat funding, are disquieting.
