I am pleased that the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has unanimously approved a compromise reached by Senators Cardin and Corker that the Administration has said would be signed if passed by Congress.

Today, on Equal Pay Day, we rededicate ourselves to the task of ensuring that working men and women have equal access to the opportunities that allow them to achieve the American Dream.

Tomorrow marks the fiftieth anniversary of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), which was signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson to give all children – no matter their background – access to a quality education.
