Today, I joined the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers to call attention to the danger of deporting 20,000 educators from our country simply because they were brought here as children without proper documentation. 
Today, Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) sent a letter to Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID), Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, formally requesting an opportunity to provide testimony against former Rep. Scott Garrett’s nomination to serve as President of the Export-Import Bank and Chairman of its Board. 
When Republicans and Democrats sit down together in good faith and reach a real compromise, the results benefit the American people.
I welcome reports that Senators Murray and Alexander have reached agreement on legislation to ensure the continued payment of cost-sharing reductions for two years, invest in outreach and enrollment, and put in place other market stabilization measures.
The President's action today to decertify Iran’s compliance with the JCPOA is unjustified by the facts.
Not content to harm Americans with pre-existing conditions with his executive order earlier today, this President is now acting spitefully to raise premiums on millions of Americans and force a collapse of our health insurance marketplaces.

President Trump and his allies failed to pass their dangerous TrumpCare legislation in Congress, so they are now thwarting the will of the American people and instead trying to sabotage the Affordable Care Act through an executive order. 
As of this morning, 3.4 million American citizens are living on an island where only 17% of residents have power, some areas have only 30% access to clean water, and many families are still unable to contact loved-ones to ensure they are safe.  Food, water, medical services, and fuel remain in short supply or unable to reach areas in need.
I was appalled by the President’s dangerous statement yesterday questioning freedom of the press in our country.
