Today’s resolution, while unenforceable, is wholly inappropriate and a blatant attempt to undermine the special counsel’s investigation. 
When Republicans passed their tax law, they promised that for the price of $1.8 trillion in new deficits and tax increases for millions of middle class families our nation would see unprecedented economic growth of ‘4%, 5%, or even 6%,’ as President Trump said.
Justice Kennedy has served our nation faithfully and honorably on the Supreme Court, and I wish him well in his retirement. 
Once again, Republican leaders put a partisan immigration bill on the Floor, and it failed.
Today’s ruling is a blow to public sector workers and to the American people they serve.
Thank you very much, Madam Leader, and thank you for your leadership in ensuring the adoption of the Affordable Care Act and it’s signing and going into effect.
In the years I’ve served with Joe Crowley, I’ve known him to be a tireless fighter for jobs, opportunity, and a better future for the people of our country.
The Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) long-term outlook shows for the first time the consequences beyond the ten-year budget window of the Republican-led Congress’s tax breaks for the wealthiest.
I believe that the justices got it wrong in this case. 
I want to thank Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Adam Smith and Rep. Pramila Jayapal for introducing the Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act, legislation I am cosponsoring to repeal mandatory detention for those awaiting immigration or asylum hearings, address substandard conditions at immigrant detention centers, and phase out the use of private detention facilities.
