I am deeply disappointed that Republicans refused to vote together with Democrats to bring to the Floor the Protecting Our Democracy Act.
I thank the gentleman for yielding, and I rise today to reiterate the strong, bipartisan support for our ally Israel in the United States Congress.
Before the vote on December 23, I had urged President Obama and Secretary Kerry to use the United States's veto power at the U.N. Security Council to defeat Resolution 2334.

The legislation introduced yesterday by House Foreign Affairs Committee Ranking Member Engel and Representative Connolly reflects a deep concern in Congress and among the American people that a foreign power acted to undermine our election and influence it in favor of a particular candidate.
