Today, I was honored to join the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus at their forum to hear from stakeholders on how we can bring an end to violence against the transgender community. 

I join in congratulating Senator Barbara Mikulski on being named as one of the next recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, our nation’s highest civilian recognition.

I was horrified to learn of this evening's terrorist attacks in Paris. My heart goes out to the victims and their families.
