Hoyer Statement on the Terrorist Attacks in Paris

WASHINGTON, DC - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today on the terrorist attacks in Paris:

"I was horrified to learn of this evening's terrorist attacks in Paris. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. No act of terror can shake the resolve of the French people to live free and in accordance with the principles of liberty, equality, and brotherhood, for which so many have risked and given their lives throughout France's history. 

"While we do not know yet the full extent of these tragic attacks and who was responsible, we must find strength in the assurance that justice will ultimately prevail, and those capable of carrying out such an act have already demonstrated why their cause will not. The American people and their Congress stand in solidarity with the people of Paris and all of France tonight."
