It is appalling that the Commerce Department is changing the language of its equal opportunity policy statement to exclude LGBT Americans. 

Five years ago today, President Obama took action to protect DREAMers, using his executive authority to launch the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

My prayers today are with my friend Whip Steve Scalise and with all those who were injured in the shooting this morning, including the U.S. Capitol Police officers who courageously responded and saved lives.  

If Russian operatives were successful in hacking into servers in thirty-nine states connected to voting systems and elections personnel, we ought to be very concerned about the security of future elections.

It is already June, and Republicans in Congress have yet to even propose a budget resolution for the fiscal year starting in October.  

Once again, an American court has determined what we already know: that President Trump’s attempt to ban Muslims from entering this country is not only immoral but unconstitutional.

The voters who participated in Puerto Rico's status referendum expressed an unambiguous desire to continue seeking a future in common with the United States as an equal member of our union.  

I was honored to meet today with recipients of the National Endowment for Democracy award. 

We need to keep in mind there are really two separate issues here. One is, what did the Russians do, who did they do it with, how were they trying to undermine our democracy and western democracies generally?
