I’m honored to be here today as your keynote speaker. I want to begin by thanking you for your efforts to keep the issue of infrastructure investment at the forefront of our national dialogue about the economy and how to create opportunities for our people.

That’s outrageous, given how so many of our fellow citizens are enduring hardship and waiting for Congress to take action to help. We cannot ignore this issue.

Israel has been a marvel to the world, weaving from a history of adversity a miraculous tapestry of resilience, innovation, and the steadfast pursuit of the ancient prophets’ dream of peace and justice on Earth.
Iran continues to be a malign actor in its region and around the world, sowing instability in Syria and Yemen, positioning forces across Israel’s northern border, supporting violent terrorism, and threatening the United States and our allies.

Following House passage today of two bills aimed at lowering the cost of prescription drugs and consideration tomorrow of legislation to protect coverage for those with pre-existing conditions, next week I will bring to the Floor a bill to protect and expand access to affordable health care for Americans.
