I want to thank my good friend Rep. Denny Heck for his hard work on behalf of the people of Washington State and the United States in the House for the past six years. 
The report released today by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence ought to alarm every American. 
These two cases concern more than the details of President Trump’s egregious behavior; they concern the supremacy of our Constitution and the rule of law. No one is above the law, as our courts have affirmed again and again, and no president can ignore the will of Congress, a co-equal branch of government charged with conducting oversight.
The Majority Leader’s Office is now sending a weekly e-mail highlighting economic statistics and news that Members can use as they discuss the state of the economy and how House Democrats are working to spur economic growth, support job creation, and raise wages for the people.
I am pleased to share with you the House schedule for the Second Session of the 116th Congress. 
I join in congratulating Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney on being selected to lead the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. 
Today, after having previously taken action of its own, the House passed two Senate bills strongly condemning the Chinese government crackdown on the protests in Hong Kong, authorizing sanctions against those who engage in human rights violations there, and prohibiting provision of police gear to Hong Kong.  Now, the President should sign this legislation and send a strong message that democracy in Hong Kong must be preserved.

Since Democrats took control of the House earlier this year, one of our highest priorities has been to make Congress more open, transparent, and accountable. 
It was not successful because the whistleblower blew the whistle, and it was not until after that whistle was blown that the money was released. So, the [Republican] rationalization that somehow this is okay… It simply doesn't hold water
