ICYMI: The Chamber of Commerce released a “Key Vote Alert” letter urging Members to oppose Ex-Im Bank related amendments to the highway bill. Key excerpt:
“The Chamber opposes any amendments related to the Bank because such amendments would only detract from, or run counter to, the goal of reauthorizing the Bank.”
Just in case Senator McConnell missed it last night, we thought we’d be helpful and round up this morning’s headlines that show the majority of Republicans voted with nearly every Democrat to pass legislation to reopen the Export-Import Bank – the same legislation that passed the Senate with 64 votes. So, the question for him is: will he take it up so we can restore certainty to businesses or will he stand in the way of the will of bipartisan majorities in both of the House and the Senate?
Wanted to be sure you saw the below letter from the AARP to Congress in support of a clean debt limit bill to pay our nation’s bills. It is time for Republicans to stop governing by cirsis and step up to honor the full faith and credit of the United States, while taking care of our country’s seniors.

The USA Today Editorial Board had a few words of advice for House Republicans this morning regarding their “transparently partisan” Benghazi committee: “time to wrap it up and tie a bow on it.” Take a look:
“A few words of advice to House Republicans concerning their $4.6 million investigation into a terrorist raid of a U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya: Time to wrap it up and tie a bow on it.”
Although the House passed a clean, continuing resolution to fund the government yesterday, 151 Republicans still voted to shut down government once again. As we gear up for another #GOPShutdown threat in December, here’s a reminder of just a few times a large number of GOP Members voted against responsible measures to keep government open:
