Chamber of Commerce Opposes Ex-Im Amendments

ICYMI: The Chamber of Commerce released a “Key Vote Alert” letter urging Members to oppose Ex-Im Bank related amendments to the highway bill. Key excerpt:

“The Chamber opposes any amendments related to the Bank because such amendments would only detract from, or run counter to, the goal of reauthorizing the Bank.”

After a majority of Republicans joined Democrats to pass a bill that would reopen the Bank, it’s time for a minority of Republicans to stop playing partisan, political games that put our competitiveness at risk and ship jobs overseas.

Also ICYMI: Whip Hoyer joined Ranking Member Waters, Rep. Moore, and Rep. Heck on a letter yesterday urging Members to oppose all Ex-Im related amendments to the highway bill because they would harm efforts to reopen the Export-Import Bank.
