Hoyer (MD) praised the House of Representatives Office of the Law Revision Counsel (OLRC) for their announcement today on completing the significant task of compiling the entire Unites States Code of Laws in structured XML for the first time and dynamically publishing the code via bulk download.   

WASHINGTON, DC - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement on the passing of former Congresswoman and Ambassador Lindy Boggs: 

“Mr. Speaker, as the Speaker has said, later today members and staff from both parties will come together to remember the tragic shooting that occurred 15 years ago in this Capitol.

With House Republicans heading into the August district work period with no accomplishments to tout, it isn’t surprising they’ve been given a recess packet with plenty of rhetoric and no substance.  An article in Roll Call today highlights their strategy to go home and talk about how Washington is broken.  You know, after they spent months obstructing any reasonable legislation.
