Today, I’m proud to join Rep. David Cicilline and the LGBT Equality Caucus to cosponsor the Equality Act in the 115th Congress.

I am appalled that President Trump tweeted this morning that he wants the government to shut down. Funding our government is not a game, where one side wins and the other side loses.

This week, House Republicans are attempting to bring their TrumpCare bill to the Floor for a vote.

The winner of today's most shocking comment contest is Representative Mo Brooks (R-AL), who told CNN's Jake Tapper:

A nation of immigrants. We say that, and we say it with pride.

I strongly urge President Trump to withdraw Mark Green as his nominee for Army Secretary. The civilian leaders the President selects to oversee our military set the tone for the men and women of our Armed Forces and how they are expected to behave.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has spent her more than three decades in public service working to build consensus and forge compromises that benefit Floridians and all Americans.

Today, the House passed a bill to continue funding the government for an additional week while negotiations continue on a bill to fund the government for the remainder of the fiscal year.

Another day, another roundup of GOP division and dysfunction over TrumpCare:

HuffPost: Republicans Still Don’t Have The Votes To Replace Obamacare

I am so pleased to be here, in the House. I am not pleased that we are considering a Continuing Resolution.
