The report today by the Committee on Oversight and Reform is alarming, indicating that the Trump Administration continues to fail in its responsibility to provide critical supplies to states fighting the spread of coronavirus. We already know that the White House delayed taking action for weeks as the virus spread.

I am deeply concerned about the emergency powers legislation enacted yesterday in Hungary. Prime Minister Orban has given little indication that he can be trusted to relinquish emergency powers granted to him without an expiration date.
With this rule, the Trump Administration continues to jeopardize the health and wellbeing of communities across America. At a time when we should be doing all we can to boost public health, and when the auto industry and its workers are under tremendous stress, it is deeply disappointing that the Trump Administration would move forward with this rule.
Each year, on Equal Pay Day, we count the number of extra weeks from the start of the new year that women have to work, on average, to earn the same pay as men in the previous year for the same work. This pay gap is even more pronounced for women of color.
