“As we continue to watch events in Boston unfold, my thoughts and prayers are with the victims of today’s attack and their families – as well as with all the people of Boston.
“My good friend, John Berry, in his four years at the helm of the Office of Personnel Management, demonstrated outstanding leadership, much as he did when he served on my staff for ten years and was a principal architect of the Federal Employee Pay Comparability Act.
“I am pleased that Democrats were united against a bill that would effectively end the work of the National Labor Relations Board – a proposal that passed the House with only Republican votes today
