These most recent ballistic missile and nuclear tests by North Korea are abhorrent and demand an international response that goes beyond words of condemnation.

With our economy having gained just 156,000 private sector jobs in August, it is becoming more clear that the momentum of our recovery is imperiled by the uncertainty and lack of clear policy direction from the Trump Administration. 

Today we celebrate the hard-won workers’ rights victories that brought better pay and safer conditions to millions of American families.  For generations, workers and labor organizations have stood up to demand that the American Dream not fall out of reach for those who work hard every day. 

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program represents America at its best: a nation that seeks justice and opportunity for those who were brought here as children and have grown up wanting nothing more than to live in the nation they love and contribute to building its future. 

When it comes to reforming our tax code, there really isn't much debate about why we need to do it. Stepping to the podium to declare that we need tax reform does not signal leadership on this issue; rather, doing so without offering any proposals on how to achieve it is an abdication.

I am outraged to hear of Hamas's decision to reunite with Iran. This unholy alliance between them stems from a deep hatred of Israel, of America, and of the universal human rights and freedoms that both our nations represent.

President Trump’s decision to ban transgender Americans from serving in the military is shameful. Not only does it run contrary to the values of our nation and the counsel of our military leaders, but it undermines national security and military readiness.

North Korea's latest ballistic missile test is a clear provocation and risks destabilizing the entire region. The United States will continue to stand by our allies Japan and the Republic of Korea in a common defense against North Korean aggression.
