I condemn unequivocally the Hamas rocket attacks from Gaza against Israeli civilians.  No country should sit by while its citizens are harmed and threatened.

The revised official death toll from Hurricanes Irma and Maria in Puerto Rico is tragic and alarming.

Today, we mark twenty years since bombings at the U.S. embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam took the lives of twelve Americans and more than 200 local residents. 

This morning’s monthly jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics continues to reveal structural problems negatively affecting workers, small businesses, and long-term economic growth.  

Intent on reversing every single policy the Obama Administration put in place to protect workers, consumers, public health, and the environment, today’s announcement shows that the Trump Administration is playing dangerous, partisan games with our nation’s energy security.

Republicans promised a simpler tax code and massive wage gains from their tax law in December.  However, every week we learn of yet another way these promises are failing American workers, as wealthy investors reap the benefit of corporate stock buybacks while workers’ wages fall.
