Congress
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Last week was a historic week in many respects.
Thank you for the opportunity to speak to you today.
Last Monday, FBI Director Comey confirmed that the Trump campaign has been under investigation since July over potential collusion with the Putin regime.
The violent suppression of peaceful protests in Russia reflect the deep morass into which Vladimir Putin's Russia has fallen.
This week, Republicans were so deeply divided over their TrumpCare bill, that they lacked the votes to pass it and leaders were forced to pull the bill from the Floor.
This is a good day for the American people.
You said the President thinks he's done everything he could do.
Donald Trump, just a few weeks ago, looked the American public in the eye though the lens of a TV camera and said I will support a healthcare policy that will give everybody insurance at lesser cost and greater quality.
The Republicans are a deeply divided party and have been so for six years. They have great, great difficulty reaching consensus on important pieces of legislation.
Mr. Speaker, this week we will consider the most important bill that this House will consider in this Congress.
