On MSNBC

"You said the President thinks he's done everything he could do. Very frankly, what the President said he was going to do was present a bill to Congress that would ensure every American, every American [would have insurance] at lower cost and better quality. The president has offered no such bill. This is his bill because he supports it… In fact, the reason it's having so much trouble, [is because] it does not do what the President said his bill would do… In fact, 24 million people lose their insurance. In fact, the cost of premiums and deductibles will go up under this bill. That's what CBO says. And just last night, just last night in the dead of night, they removed the assurance that when you buy a policy it will, in fact, cover your hospital visits, emergency visits, and so many other things that people must have if they're going to have health insurance on which they can rely.”

“Not only have they not convinced us, the American people, every day this bill has been under consideration, less of them support this bill. And now… people that have an opinion by a three to one margin say, don't pass this bill. It's bad for me and my family.”

On CNBC’s “Power Lunch”

“This bill was marked up 36 hours after it was introduced and this bill has been brought to the Floor some ten, 12 days after it was marked up. They simply have not taken the time to create a bill that does what they said they were going to do. What the President said was he was going to bring a bill to the Congress that gave insurance to everybody, lowered the cost, and increased quality. Of course, the President has offered no bill. This bill… was not given any hearings. No witnesses testified. And when you do something that rapidly and that hamhandedly, you're going to have trouble.”

On BBC World News Today

“We believe [the Affordable Care Act] is a very positive bill. Does it have problems? It does have problems, as any proposal would have, particularly one that affects so many millions of people, in a matter of fact, all Americans, but what your point is then, we ought to come together and fix those parts of Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act that are not working as well as we want them to work. That is what we ought to be doing.”

On Fox News

“[TrumpCare] knocks twenty four million people off health insurance. It increases costs very substantially. It puts an age tax on individuals between the age of 50 and 64, which will increase their premiums three or four fold. So this bill is a bill which ought to fail. Then frankly what we ought to do, we ought to sit down at the table together and say how do we make the Affordable Care Act work well? Because as Donald Trump said, apparently Republicans and Democrats need to have health care insurance that they can rely on and that will stabilize our system of delivery of health care. If that's the case, then we ought to work together to get there. This bill is not that bill. Donald Trump ought to know that it's not the bill he promised to support.”

“If this bill fails, it will be a Republican failure. Nobody voted for the Affordable Care Act on the Republican side. We voted for it. We believed it was good for the American people. We got no help from Republicans. So that if they fail today, they are in control of the House. They can pass this bill. But they are a deeply divided party.”

“I regret that Chairman Nunes has acted in a fashion which, in my opinion, undermines his ability to run nonpartisan fair committee hearings. I don't know why he’s done that, but he has done it. I, frankly, think we need a commission that is like a 9/11 commission with equal Democrats and Republicans, high level people, not in the Congress, who have the time to look at the very, very serious allegations that have been made. I don't know whether they're true or not, but serious allegations that have been made, that there was collusion between the Trump campaign and/or people working at high levels in the Trump campaign and the Russians, our adversaries and some would call our enemies to undermine our democratic election. That was a very sad thing to have happened and if it did happen, Americans need to know it. Russia needs to pay consequences.”
