As Republicans face backlash from their constituents for the widely unpopular TrumpCare bill, it seems they are willing to say nearly anything to convince the American people that they won’t be negatively impacted. 

Mr. Speaker, I rise in support of this bill. It will not be a controversial bill. It will not make the front page of the paper tomorrow. People will not be seized of this bill passing. But this bill may well have a very great consequence to it and to the efficiency and effectiveness of our federal government.

If reports are true that President Trump asked then-Director Comey to end the FBI’s investigation of former National Security Advisor Flynn, it makes the need for an independent investigation all the more important. 

House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released a video today highlighting Americans who are speaking out against TrumpCare in Republican districts across the country.

The security cooperation between the United States and our ally Israel, including the level of trust and sharing of information between our intelligence agencies, forms one of the pillars of Israel’s defense.

Each time I think the President cannot jeopardize American security any further or take his reckless ineptitude to new heights, I am quickly proven wrong.
