Today, House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) unveiled a new website, JusticeInPolicing.us, to help educate and engage the public on House Democrats’ legislation to end misconduct and racial bias in law enforcement.
Today, House Democrats unveiled legislation to strengthen and expand the Affordable Care Act, fulfilling a promise made to the American people who entrusted us to use our House Majority to make access to quality health care more affordable. The House will vote on this bill on Monday, June 29.
The House will consider the Great American Outdoors Act under a rule on the Floor during the work period at the end of July. This bipartisan bill, which passed the Senate by a vote of 73-25, will permanently fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and address the maintenance backlog at our national parks.
I am disappointed that the Navy decided to not reinstate Captain Crozier, after initially recommending his reinstatement. He should not face retaliation for raising concerns about the safety of those under his command.
President Trump and Attorney General Barr have fired numerous government officials in order to protect Trump and his associates, and once again, we are witnessing the removal of another independent official without cause. Once again, there appears to be an attempt to obstruct federal investigations.

This morning’s decision by the Supreme Court rejecting the Trump Administration’s effort to rescind the DACA program is a major victory both for Dreamers and for the American people, as we all benefit from their contributions to our nation.
