Today’s announcement that GDP grew by 3.5% in the last quarter is encouraging news, adding another sign that our economy is slowly recovering from the deepest recession in 75 years.

I am pleased that President Obama signed into law today the National Defense Authorization Act for the 2010 Fiscal Year, legislation that enhances our nation’s security and the well-being of those who serve it.
