WASHINGTON, DC- Today, House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) and Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA) will hold a press call to discuss the Half in Ten Act of 2013 at 11 a.m.

House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) and Rep. Phil Roe, M.D. (R-TN) introduced the School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act today.

“I welcome the announcement that the District of Columbia’s statue of Frederick Douglass will be unveiled in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center next month.

House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) today announced that Shuwanza Goff has been promoted to Floor Director to succeed Austin Burnes, who is leaving the Hill at the end of May.

“Today’s Analysis of the President’s 2014 Budget from the Congressional Budget Office confirms that the President’s proposed budget will substantially reduce the deficit and stabilize the debt below the level recommended by the Bowles-Simpson Commission.

“The President’s visits to Moravia Park Elementary School, a Judy Center; Ellicott Dredges; and the Center for Urban Families in Baltimore today show that he remains focused on creating jobs and opportunities for families in America.

“Once again, House Republicans are intent on throwing a wrench into the federal regulatory process by tying the hands of those who prevent fraud and abuse on Wall Street. 

“I applaud Democrats on the House Administration Committee, led by Ranking Member Robert Brady and Reps. Zoe Lofgren and Juan Vargas, for introducing legislation to reform and reauthorize the Election Assistance Commission.
