Today’s procedural changes by Senate Republicans imperils the future of the Senate as a deliberative body and risks eroding the constitutional framework that safeguards the rights and representation of the minority under our system of government. 

I continue to be deeply disturbed by the baseless and irresponsible accusations leveled against former National Security Advisor Susan Rice by President Trump. 

One might have thought that House Republican leaders had gotten the message when they had to pull their disastrous health care bill from the Floor two weeks ago that the American people do not want to be forced to pay more for less and lose the protections of the Affordable Care Act.  

It is entirely appropriate that Chairman Nunes should step aside from the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation, something he should have done days ago.  

The chemical weapons attack in Syria was a heinous war crime, and the Assad regime must be held accountable.  

Today, on Equal Pay Day, I stand in solidarity with women across the country who demand equal pay for equal work.  

If reports of a severe chemical weapons strike by the Syrian government against civilians in the Idlib province are true, they represent an outrageous war crime that cannot be allowed to pass without holding its perpetrators accountable.

Today, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Burr said that if his committee were to politicize its investigation of Russian interference, the investigation would fail. 

Today's Congressional Budget Office report on the long-term budget outlook ought to serve as a warning that Congress must work in a bipartisan way to put America's fiscal house in order.
