WASHINGTON, DC - House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today after Congressman Ted Deutch (FL-22), announced that he will not seek re-election at the end of the 117th Congress:

The House is now in recess subject to the call of the Chair.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., the House will reconvene and begin debate on the eight bills listed for consideration under suspension of the Rules.

Any recorded votes requested will be postponed until 6:30 p.m.
