I was interested in what Senator McConnell said yesterday. He is pleased we are moving on the impeachment. That mirrors the comments of Liz Cheney, who’s the number three Republican leader in the House.
Any fair-minded person who is simply not just voting out of partisan motivation has got to say that the facts and principle demand that this President be held accountable.

I was pleased to meet today with General Lloyd Austin, President-elect Biden’s nominee for Secretary of Defense. I congratulated General Austin on the historic nature of his nomination and expressed my strong support for granting the waiver necessary for him to be confirmed as Secretary once the House Armed Services Committee has held a hearing to review the issue of civilian control of the military.
Wednesday’s attack on the U.S. Capitol complex by a violent mob of the President’s supporters was a terrible tragedy for our nation, compounded by the news of the death of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick. Officer Sicknick had dedicated himself to protecting the Capitol, those who serve there, and the many constituents and visitors who come to meet with their legislators.
"I agree with Speaker Pelosi and Leader Schumer that President Trump remaining in office presents a clear and present danger to the security and stability of our country, and it warrants removal by impeachment or under the Twenty-Fifth Amendment."
