FLOOR UPDATE:
Schedule for the Week of July 15, 2019

"On Monday, the House will meet at 12:00 p.m. for Morning Hour debate and 2:00 p.m. for legislative business, with votes postponed until 6:30 p.m.  

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the House will meet at 10:00 a.m. for Morning Hour debate and 12:00 p.m. for legislative business.
FLOOR UPDATE:
The House has completed consideration of amendments to H.R. 2500 – National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020.

The House has now begun debate on H.R. 1327 – Never Forgot the Heroes: James Zadroga, Ray Pfeifer, and Luis Alvarez Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act – under suspension of the Rules.

Following supension debate, the House will take votes.  These will be the last votes of the week. 
FLOOR UPDATE:
The House has resumed consideration of amendments to H.R. 2500 – National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020, beginning with Thompson (MS) Amendment #437.  Members should be prepared to offer their amendments at the appropriate time today.

Please find the Republican Motion to Recommit on H.R. 2500 – National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 (Rep. Smith (WA) – Armed Services).

Democrats are urged to VOTE NO on the Motion to Recommit.

FLOOR UPDATE:
At approximately 11:25 - 11:30 a.m., the House will take the following votes:
  1. Lee (CA)/Khanna Amendment #49 – Reduces the Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) Operation & Maintenance account by $16.8 billion, to prevent a topline DoD spending increase from the FY19 level.
FLOOR UPDATE:
Today, the House meets at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business.  There will be up to five “One Minutes” per side.

Following “One Minutes,” the House will resume consideration of amendments to H.R. 2500 – National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020, beginning with Thompson (MS) Amendment #437.  Members should be prepared to offer their amendments at the appropriate time today.

The House is now taking the following votes on amendments to H.R. 2500 – National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020:
  1. Blumenauer Amendment #32 – Requires an independent study on options to extend the life of the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles and delaying the ground-based strategic deterrent program (GBSD).
FLOOR UPDATE:
The House has resumed consideration of amendments to H.R. 2500 – National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020, beginning with Pappas Amendment #48.  The House will debate through Ocasio-Cortez Amendment #430 tonight.
