Suggested Questions for GOP Press Conference

We here in the Democratic Whip Press shop thought we’d pass along a few questions you may want to ask Speaker Boehner and Leader Cantor at today’s press conference:

  1. Will you take a short-term extension off the table, and commit to getting a highway bill done?
  2. Why are you going on recess next week without having taken action on a highway bill or on student loans?
  3. Are Republicans done legislating for the year? Is the GOP plan for the rest of the year to focus on politics and take no action on jobs?
  4. If Republicans want to give certainty to our economy, why are they holding middle class tax cuts hostage to tax cuts for the wealthy?
