For the second time in two days, Americans have watched in horror as our fellow citizens have been murdered in what can only be described as domestic terror attacks.

I am pleased to join so many House Democrats in traveling to Israel to reaffirm our support for a critical U.S. ally and to continue learning about the opportunities and the challenges facing Israel and the Middle East. 

Once again, a community in America is heartbroken by a mass shooting that has taken the lives of far too many. Families and friends are forced to mourn for loved ones taken far too soon.  
 

The President’s nomination of Rep. Ratcliffe was based totally on his loyalty to the President and not on any qualifications or experience that would have qualified him for the job.

The July jobs report tells the story of American economic resilience in the face of serious challenges and a failure by the current Administration to build on the policies that brought about our recovery from the Great Recession.

I support the appointment of Pedro Pierluisi to be Puerto Rico’s new Secretary of State, and I urge the House and Senate to approve his nomination quickly.

Dan Coats has served this country with devotion as a legislator and the head of our intelligence community, and while we may have stood at opposite sides of the aisle, I always respected him as a fellow public servant.
