Today, the House meets at 12:00 p.m. for legislative business.  There will be up to fifteen “One Minutes” per side.

Following “One Minutes,” the House will begin one hour of general debate on H.R. 1373 – Grand Canyon Centennial Protection Act.

After general debate of H.R. 1373, the House is expected to recess subject to the call of the Chair. 

At approximately 2:00 p.m., the House will reconvene and debate the three amendments to H.R. 1373.

Today, the House overwhelmingly passed the PACT Act, bipartisan legislation to hold Turkey accountable for its military incursion into Syria and its efforts to displace Kurdish residents from their homes.

Statement :
Hoyer Floor Remarks in Support of Resolution Recognizing the Armenian Genocide
This resolution, Mr. Speaker, recognizes the horrific and systematic efforts to commit genocide against the Armenian people a century ago. There can be no denial of the Armenian genocide, which is evidenced by historical documentation and the emotional scars still borne by the descendants of its survivors.

Hoyer Sends Letter to McConnell Urging Senate Republicans to Work with Democrats to Reach a Bipartisan Agreement on Appropriations
House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) sent the following letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell urging him to work with Democrats to reach bipartisan agreement on 302(b) allocations for all twelve appropriations bills rather than pass yet another continuing resolution to fund government beyond the November 21 deadline.
