Archived Floor Update :
LEADER'S FLOOR UPDATE

Today, the House meets at 12:00 p.m. for legislative business.  There will be up to fifteen “One Minutes” per side.

Following “One Minutes,” the House will begin one hour of debate on the Rule providing for consideration of H.R. 5 – Equality Act and H.R. 803 – Protecting America's Wilderness and Public Lands Act.

After debate on the Rule, the House will take votes, by groups.  These are the last votes of the day.

The House has reconvened and begun debate on the six bills listed for consideration under suspension of the Rules. 

Any recorded votes requested will be postponed until 6:30 p.m.

The House Budget Committee today took the next step toward implementing President Biden's American Rescue Plan to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and respond to its economic fallout.  The legislation they reported out incorporates recommendations from nine separate committees directing $1.9 trillion in emergency relief to Americans.
