Floor Updates

FLOOR UPDATE:
The House has completed debate on Senate Amendment to H.R. 748 – Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. 

At this time, a quorum may be necessary to conduct the remainder of business in the House.  

We ask all Members now make their way to the House Floor or Gallery while employing proper social distancing practices.

A request for a recorded vote is possible. 
FLOOR UPDATE:
Members are advised that the House is not expected to meet sooner than Monday, April 20, 2020.

Members are further advised that if the House is required to take action on critical legislation related to the coronavirus response or other legislative priorities, Members will be given sufficient notice to return to Washington, DC.
FLOOR UPDATE:
The House is currently debating the Senate Amendment to H.R. 748 – Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. 

At this time, a quorum may be necessary to conduct the remainder of business in the House.

We therfore ask all Members to begin making their way to the House Floor or Gallery while employing proper social distancing practices.

At approximately 12:45 - 1:00 p.m., a request for a recorded vote is possible. 
FLOOR UPDATE:
The House has begun up to three hours of debate on the Senate Amendment to H.R. 748 – Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. 

Members are advised that we are hopeful the bill will pass by voice vote.

Members are encouraged to follow the guidance of their local and state health officials, however if they are able and willing to be in Washington D.C. by 10:00 a.m. today, Members are encouraged to do so with caution. 
FLOOR UPDATE:
Today, the House meets at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business.  

The House will begin up to three hours of debate on the Senate Amendment to H.R. 748 – Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. 

Members are advised that we are hopeful the bill will pass by voice vote.
FLOOR UPDATE:
Tomorrow, the House will convene at 9:00 a.m. for up to two hours of debate on H.R. 748, Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.
 
Members are advised that it is possible this measure will not pass by voice vote. 

Members are encouraged to follow the guidance of their local and state health officials, however if they are able and willing to be in Washington D.C. by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Members are encouraged to do so with caution.

Members are advised that votes are no longer expected on Monday, March 23rd, 2020.  Pending any developments requiring votes, Members will have twenty-four hours' notice to return to D.C.

Members are further advised that plans are being developed to coordinate votes in order to limit the number of Members voting on the Floor at any one time.
