If you tuned into the House Floor this morning, you probably saw yet another attempt by a House Republican to adjourn the House for the day. It seems that the Minority Leader still can’t control his Conference. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So instead of working with Democrats to advance legislation that helps American families and businesses struggling during this public health crisis, certain Republicans continue to use pointless delay tactics that postpone the inevitable. Over the last few weeks, they’ve repeatedly tried to delay House consideration of critical legislation, and have even begun obstructing the passage of non-controversial, bipartisan bills under suspension. Who would have thought they’d be opposed to legislation that ensures veterans have easier access to vaccines, helps prevent child abuse, and honors the United States Capitol Police?
It turns out we aren’t the only ones sick of pointless delay tactics – Republicans have begun turning on one another. Take a look at some of the latest GOP division from CNN – we think the headline sums it up best: “House GOP struggles over conservative hardliners' tactics: 'It's a pain in the a**'”
Rep. Fred Upton: "It's frustrating…I don't see that this is resonating at home, the motions to adjourn. I mean it's just a pain. It's a pain in the ass."
"It's just pissing everyone off," said one senior House Republican member, asking for anonymity to discuss the matter candidly.
Rep. Buddy Carter: "Tactics without reason, they go nowhere.”
Rep. Dan Crenshaw: "I'm not voting for any more motions to adjourn. These things are the games that both sides play. I'm not a fan of it from either side."

Rep. Tim Walberg: “…You serve yourself and your constituents better by not being offensive to the whole body.”
Rep. Dave Joyce: “All it does is disrupt the organization of the day when you’re trying to meet with constituents when you have to come vote for something that’s not going to pass.”

Rep. Adam Kinzinger: “I’m just tired of it. We’re doing this every day, and there’s no point. So I’m just done playing.”
