The House will meet at 10:30 a.m. morning hour and at 12:00 p.m. for legislative business.  Votes will be postponed until at least 6:30 p.m.

 

** Members are advised that the resolution recognizing September 11th will be considered no earlier than 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

1)     H.R. 2467 - To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 69 Montgomery Street in Jersey City, New Jersey, as the "Frank J. Guarini Post Office Building" (Rep. Sires - Oversight and Government Reform)

2)     H.R. 2587 - To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 555 South 3rd Street Lobby in Memphis, Tennessee, as the "Kenneth T. Whalum, Sr. Post Office" (Rep. Cohen - Oversight and Government Reform)

3)     H.R. 2654 - To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 202 South Dumont Avenue in Woonsocket, South Dakota, as the "Eleanor McGovern Post Office Building" (Rep. Herseth Sandlin – Oversight and Government Reform)

4)     H.R. 2778 – To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 3 Quaker Ridge Road in New Rochelle, New York, as the "Robert Merrill Postal Station" (Rep. Lowey – Oversight and Government Reform)

5)     H.R. 2825 To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 326 South Main Street in Princeton, Illinois, as the “Owen Lovejoy Princeton Post Office Building” (Rep. Weller – Oversight and Government Reform)

6)     H.Res. 257 - Supporting the goals and ideals of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month (Rep. Platts – Oversight and Government Reform)

7)     H.Res.___ - Recognizing September 11 as a day of remembrance, extending sympathies to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and their families, honoring the heroic actions of our nation’s first responders and Armed Forces, and reaffirming the commitment to defending the people of the United States against any and all future challenges (Reps. Hoyer and Boehner)

 

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2007 AND THE BALANCE OF THE WEEK

On Tuesday, the House will be in Pro Forma Session at 10:30 a.m.  At 4:30 p.m., there will be a Joint House and Senate Remembrance Ceremony on the West Front steps of the Capitol.  On Wednesday and Thursday, the House is not in session.  On Friday, the House will be in Pro Forma Session at 10:00 a.m.
