Was It Worth It?

We’re wondering: do Republicans really think trying to stop the Affordable Care Act (even though open enrollment started yesterday anyway) was worth all of this (and more)?

• World War II Memorial and other monuments closed to the public
• Hundreds of children denied access to life saving research trials for diseases like cancer
• Head Start programs for children starting to close their doors
• Limited resources for veterans seeking government assistance
• No workplace safety investigations
• Stopped processing of small business loans, low-income housing loans, and loans to farmers
• Thousands of federal workers prohibited from doing their job
• Costing the economy an estimated $10  billion per week
• Senior nutrition programs, which benefit approximately 2.5 million seniors annually, not being funded
• National Parks closed to visitors

The answer from Americans is a clear “no.”
