Suggested Questions for GOP Leadership

We here in the Democratic Whip Press Shop thought we’d pass along a few questions you may want to ask Speaker Ryan and Leader McCarthy at today’s press conference:

  1. Will you commit to a full investigation of the Trump Administration’s ties to Russia, including any ways the President may be compromised, and the hacking of the election?
  2. Will you ask the Administration to brief the full House on these developments?
  3. Are you concerned that the White House Counsel’s office knew about this weeks ago, and the White House did nothing?
  4. Are you asking the White House who knew about Flynn’s conversations regarding sanctions, and when they knew it?
  5. Do you think the President knew about this?
  6. Do you think others on the President’s transition team approved Flynn’s conversations?
  7. Do you think General Flynn should have been allowed to remain on the National Security Council knowing he could be compromised?
  8. Are you concerned that just hours before Flynn resigned, Kellyanne Conway said the President had “full confidence” in Flynn?
  9. Do you agree with the President that it’s the leaks that are the problem, not the fact that a civilian discussed sanctions with Russia or that Russia may have damaging information on Trump and other officials?
  10. What steps are Republicans taking to hold the President and his Administration accountable?
