Congress has just two legislative days to fund the government before the current continuing resolution expires tomorrow, December 8. Since 2011, when Republicans took the majority, they have been unable to enact a single bill to fund the government without Democratic votes. For months, Republicans have wasted time passing tax cuts for the wealthy rather than working with Democrats to responsibly fund the government. Republicans have majorities in the House and Senate and control of the White House. They are responsible for keeping the government open. Here’s a look at previous votes:
