Quite the split screen.

The contrast couldn’t be clearer today: While Democrats are celebrating the historic Inflation Reduction Act, which will reduce health care and energy costs for working families and enjoys bipartisan support from American voters, Republicans are introducing legislation that would ban abortions nationwide. Make no mistake: this restrictive bill is out of line with Americans and will impact millions across the country by denying them access to the full range of reproductive health care and criminalizing abortion.

The New York Times: Graham Proposes 15-Week Abortion Ban, Seeking to Unite Republicans

“Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina introduced legislation on Tuesday that would institute a federal ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy, moving to unite the Republican Party behind a position before midterm elections in which abortion rights have become a potent issue.”

“Mr. Graham’s proposal would leave in place state laws with stricter abortion restrictions. A recent Pew Research Center poll showed that 61 percent of American adults say abortion should be legal in all or most cases, although the same poll also showed that the partisan divide on the issue has grown over the past two decades.”

Once again, Democrats are delivering results for Americans while Republicans work to take their rights away.
