Psssst... Senate Republicans, Here's What the House GOP Doesn't Want You to Know...
As you all know, we’re not typically ones to bail out our Senate Republican friends, but it appears they could be headed toward putting themselves in a really bad spot.
Example:
So we’re going to help Senate Republicans out and tip them off to rumors we’re hearing about the real House GOP plan: that they will take up the “skinny repeal” bill and pass it – no going to conference. Straight to the President’s desk to be signed into law. Of course, House Republicans won’t SAY that’s the plan, since Senate Republicans are being told to vote for a bill they don’t like (and that will kick 16 million Americans off their health care) just to keep the ball rolling and to get to conference. If they were told that the real plan is for the House to just pass it and for it to become law, it wouldn’t pass.
Here’s what Speaker Ryan told the press earlier this morning:
"Extending our session is obviously an option we are considering." [CNN]
Why? To pass the “skinny repeal” bill if it comes over from the Senate.
Don’t be fooled, Senate GOP.
