Ordering the Previous Question to deny the Polis Amendment on H.Res. 245 - Would allow for Mr. Bishop of New York’s bill, H.R. 1689 – Big Oil Welfare Repeal Act of 2011, to be considered.  H.R. 1689 would amend the Internal Revenue Code to prohibit major integrated oil companies (the Big 5) from receiving a tax deduction for domestic oil and natural gas production activities (Section 199 of the Code) (241 - 171)
