Materials from the Second “Make It In America: What’s Next?” Hearing

Today, House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) held the second hearing in a series of hearings called “Make It In America: What’s Next?” After five years and 16 bills signed into law, and facing a different economic landscape today, the hearing series will explore how the economy has, and hasn’t, changed, and what families and businesses need in 2015 to Make It In America.
Over the course of four panels at today’s hearing, eight outside experts, who are leaders in the fields of entrepreneurship, information technology, workforce development, and other areas critical to our long-term economic competitiveness and job growth, discussed their thoughts on new challenges and new opportunities in today’s economy. They also discussed many of the issues raised by Members during the first “Make It In America: What’s Next?” hearing, where over thirty House Democrats participated.
