Today, House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) held the first hearing in a series of hearings called “Make It In America: What’s Next?” After five years and 16 bills signed into law, and facing a different economic landscape today, the hearing series will explore how the economy has, and hasn’t, changed, and what families and businesses need in 2015 to Make It In America.
Over the course of four panels at today’s hearing, 21 House Democrats testified about the economic successes and challenges facing their districts and how the Make It In America plan should be updated to reflect today’s economy.
