WASHINGTON, DC - House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement after House Democrats and Republicans reached a tentative agreement on the Iraq supplemental spending bill:
"I am pleased that Chairman Obey, Chairman Rangel and I were able to work with Leader Boehner and others to come to an agreement on a supplemental that will provide for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as address important domestic needs. We expect to bring this bill to the House Floor tomorrow."
