Hoyer Statement on the Situation in Ukraine

WASHINGTON, DC - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today after President Obama's remarks on the situation in Ukraine:

"I will continue to monitor the situation in Ukraine closely as it develops. Like the President, I am deeply disturbed by reports of Russian troop movements inside Ukraine's borders, and it is important that respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity is maintained. Ukrainians deserve the opportunity to determine their future through a free and fair democratic process that respects the rights of all groups within the country."
