WASHINGTON, DC – House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) issued the following statement on the release of the House Intelligence Committee Democrats' memo:
“With this release, the American people now have information that Republicans on the Intelligence Committee omitted from their memo and a fuller picture of how the Republican memo was a partisan effort to undermine the Special Counsel’s investigation. It is clear that Russia offered help to the Trump campaign, that the Trump’s campaign team accepted that help, and the FBI rightly is investigating what happened in the election. Now that these memos are public, it is time for both parties to focus on how we can stop and prevent Russian interference so that the events of 2016 do not recur.”
