Hoyer Statement on the Passing of Pramukh Swami Maharaj

WASHINGTON, DC – House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement on the passing of Pramukh Swami Maharaj:

“I had the honor of meeting his holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj during a visit to New Jersey in 2014.  I was struck by his humility, his powerful spiritual presence, and his commitment to all humanity. His passing is not only a tremendous loss for the Swaminarayan community, but also for many lives he touched throughout the world.  I join in offering my deepest condolences to his followers.”
