Hoyer Statement on the Passing of Former White House Press Secretary James Brady

WASHINGTON, DC - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today on the passing of former White House Press Secretary James Brady:

"I was very saddened to learn of the passing of former White House Press Secretary James Brady yesterday.  Jim was an extraordinary individual who showed tremendous courage in taking a painful personal tragedy and transforming it into a calling to make communities across the country safer for all.  I join in expressing my deepest sympathy to his wife, Sarah, their children, and the entire Brady family."
