Hoyer Statement on Democratic House Members' Proposal to Improve the Affordable Care Act

WASHINGTON, DC – House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today after a group of Democratic House Members released a package of proposals to improve the Affordable Care Act:  

“I want to thank a group of Democratic House Members for putting forward ideas to improve the Affordable Care Act. It’s this kind of initiative, which focuses on how to address the specific issues we are facing, that is necessary to ensure all Americans have access to quality, affordable health coverage. I hope that this proposal will encourage Republicans to drop their effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act and instead work together to address the challenges of our health care system in a truly bipartisan way.”
